Improving visibility for projects on crowdfunding platforms

Nowadays, many new ideas emerge and founders are more and more trying to look for financial ressources through crowdfunding platforms like Kickstarter. However, the number of projects is so big that many of them get lost in the mass.

How can we optimize the visibility for each projet? Shoudn't we create more local platforms? for specific markets/countries? What about a mobile app version of this crowdfunding platforms with a "Like/dislike" system? A kind of instagram for new projets?

I agree it is a relevant question. Many good projects die out because they are not so popular and many a just popular yet, lack impact. Just consider the Kickstarter project of the Exploding Kittens where the funding exceeded the initially pledged $10,000 to reach $8,782,571 mostly because the visibility of the project was so immense https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/elanlee/exploding-kittens. However, I consider the topic to be more related to a marketing class.
